Get four.
Efficiency. The goal of splitting is to make an advanced anchor, better coverage and easier escape. Now we throw a number, that makes an anchor. There must be a strong argument against it, not to complete. Connectivity. Making the anchor, the position is far better connected. Non-Commitment. Looking at page 44, it is also commitent, to rip the midpoint in this early stage. There is ammu running low and blocking/priming gets catchier. Robustness. The golden point usually makes a position very robust. It prevents the opponent from priming us. It is a good landing place for checkers and a keypoint, if something is going wrong with the offense. With the golden point, it is difficult, to get pinned in a backgame.
After reading your advice, I also checked with the four principles of grand bot theory. Here we have not such a strong argument like making the 5-point. But as we see, it works. At least: would a score like DMP change the decision?
