I think this information is most informative, demonstrating that a low PR is but only one significant component of playing, and winning, world class level backgammon. Ray Fogerlund has the highest PR listed, yet he wins more than any of the others. This is because he is not only a very, very good player (as evidenced by the bot PR definition) but also because he has mastered the other, non-technical aspects of the game that many of the top players in the world all but ignore -- not only as these factors affect the player, but also how they affect the opponent. These factors include, but are not limited to, psychology, emotion, tension, intimidation, distraction, etc. Many of those who strive only for a low PR -- erroneously thinking that a low PR automatically translates to victories -- ultimately come to play just like the bot they are using. Imagination, creativity, innovation, insight, and the other factors listed above are often sorely lacking in their play.
