Stick, I only contend that a number of world-class players tend to dismiss, denigrate, and question players, and their accomplishments, that are not, for lack of a better term, PR whores. Ray is the foremost example of such; perhaps, Malcolm Davis is another good example.

As you said in your recent response to Mary: "interesting to see but I agree totally that what these numbers mean is less than clear." I also agree.

Sure, everyone strives to play a low PR. Certainly, the lower one's PR -- particularly in a relative sense to an opponent's PR in a given match -- there is an increased likelihood of victory. However, PR is not the Holy Grail that many profess it to be. I only suggest there are other significant aspects of the game and, as with PR's, some are more proficient with those aspects than others.
