4) Ways to choose one person from each quadrant is 4 X 4 X 4 X 4 = 256
Ways to choose 4 is 16C4 = 1820
So 256/1820 = 64/455 (approx .1407)
Alternatively think P(1rst person you choose causes no conflict AND then 2nd person causes no conflict AND ...) = (1)(12/15)(8/14)(4/13)
5) Of the 1820 possible entries there are 1820 - 256 = 1564 entries that will be eliminated at the draw. So 1565 distinct entries guarantees at least one will be alive after the draw.
