- 1: 6/5*/1
- I see no future in the non-hitting 18/14 3/2. After the hit at least 16 numbers dance.
- 2: No double/take
- Blue is way ahead in the pips department, but has a couple of men deeper, and the open 5 point may still drive another man deep. Should be worth about 2 pips compared to White, which Kleinmans to ~84%. Whites TP with the autorecube is 10/84 ~ 12% so her take seems clear. Blue's window opens at 54/64 ~ 84.5% So while the assessment of the race may be off some, it doesn't seem like Blue is much within the window if at all
- 3: Double/drop
- White is behind in match but only 2 points, while Blue has position race and threats, and I will advise White to let this one go.
- 4: 21/11
- Three plausible plays. 8/2* 6/2 goes deep when a full blitz is not possible, and does not really make it harder for White to make an advanced anchor. Seems like the wrong plan, but executing the wrong plan well, can often outperform executing the right plan poorly. 8/2 6/2 unstacks the 6 as a bonus. 13/7 11/7 is the play I want to make, connecting the 8 and 6 and starting a prime against White's 3 back. It is a bit cramped though. 21/11 is the last alternative, running one man safely and leaving spares on all points. This seems to be follow a viable plan and doing so well. It is non-committal, and Blue can choose how to play his position according to the rolls to come.
- 5: Double/take
- I think Blue has to take this, White has no builders ready as of yet, and des not have time to first complete the board and then release the back checkers. This means that Blue can win both by entering early and escaping, or by combining entering with a hit against the released anchor. I am not sure though so Woolsey double.
