5. White wins the race 72.8 whenever he enters, 30.5 or 22.2 of the time. Blue needs 16 pips to fill the 2-pt and has an additional 28 pips to get the job done. If my estimate is roughly in the ballpark, blue wins a G 16/44 x 77.8, 28.3%, with white winning a G 28.3 x 22.2, 6.3%. For white to take, he needs more than 30.4%. He'll have 3 possibly four shakes at best and that has to be worth 2% at least. D/T.
