Giants of backgammon chicago tournament

I personally fully endorse Rory´s tournament in Chicago and of course, thank Carter for personally taking care of the travellers from abroad, like he always does.
Chicago Open has all the elements one could ask for:
A YOUNG and dynamic TD (badly needed in the USA) with personality ("Everybody´s Darlings" are boring in my opinion). He might not be the most experienced TD but that will come automatically since Rory has a will to listen and to improve and works hard, in spite of family duties and other things to take care of.
A very nice line-up of world-class players and a fantastic side-event for backgammon in general. I salute Rory´s creativity, offering and adding something different compared to those doing the same for years and decades.
A nice location for such a tournament, easy to access from East and West with affordable conditions in a major backgammon city in the USA.
I have no doubts that this tournament will pick up in quantity and quality with the work of Rory and the hospitality of Carter and co.
I will heavily advertize the Chicago Open at the Golden Gate Open in SF this weekend.
