"Proving" Poker is a Game of Skill

In Response To: "Proving" Poker is a Game of Skill (Phil Simborg)

Politicians who oppose internet gaming do not care whether the venue is a game of skill. I have never fully understood their opposition. For instance, one American party claims to support less government and reduction of unnecessary regulation. However, this party is responsible for the Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006.

Perhaps others could educate me as to the true reasons why some politicians oppose internet gaming.
