This has to be a huge cube at this score, since barring a major accident, your "worst case scenarios" are you only get to close out one checker or he anchors on the ace. That would leave him a slight game favorite in both cases (IINM), but unlike in a money game, with no recube vig at all. I think you gain enough getting to 4a2a rather than 5a2a if you win the game to make it well worth the risk of losing the match, despite his easy take here.
