Yes, obviously equity would be better not playing against Neil but playing against Mr. Schmo (or how you called him). Just my reaction in the example you gave would be different.

In any case, I respect your point of view on the role of rules in the game. Yours is a different playing philosophy than mine, but not better or worse (IMO).
