I totally agree with you here and I considered that as well. There was an example in this thread where Joe Shmoe(let that be me) plays a world class player in a semi. Let's say World Class Player makes the error with 6-3, and then next roll I don't take my man off deliberately. What happens if World Class player decides to accept my play and then rolls off for the win? This might raise the eyebrow of some watching too - who might feel weaker competition moving forward was more beneficial or that maybe the world class player deliberately played the 6-3 badly.
Both players could both refuse to take a man off and then make it come down to whoever has the most time on their clock gets what they want.
My question is, should a host intervene in a case like that?
