1. This is the sort of position where I'm sometimes surprised at how strong the bot thinks Blue's position is, and also surprised at the difference between cube action for money and cube action ATS. Still, this looks like an easy take since Blue's race lead isn't that great and the position doesn't seem terribly gammonish. I'd hold off from doubling. ND/T.

2. The main question seems to be whether to play 22/18 or 6/2*. While it's always worth thinking about hitting, here it doesn't seem to accomplish too much. Neither blitzing nor priming seems particularly easy to accomplish here; we'd still need to escape our back checkers at some point, so why not do so right away? 22/18 9/8.

3. Blue needs about 16% to take. I think he has this. White is not a favorite to close her board this roll, and may not close it next roll either. Blue's board is still strong and a return shot will turn the game around. Even if White completes the closeout, Blue still has some residual winning chances. D/T.

4. The deuce could be 16/14 but it seems that stepping up with 24/22 should be better. Then we have to decide if the best defense is good offense. I think it probably is. 24/22 5/2.

5. White has 9 checkers in the zone and Blue's blot is on the relatively exposed 5pt. One of White's checkers is already escaped and White has a 25-pip race lead. Blue's main compensation is his made 4pt, which perhaps makes it a money take. Leading 7a9a, though, I drop. D/P.
