The Gregorian Calendar was implemented in 1582 and has a 400 year cycle. I remember celebrating the completion of the first cycle with friends in 1982 by getting drunk out of our minds. The people we met that night thought we were complete idiots when we explained the purpose of the celebration. It was great.
