Checkers game, national youth championship, both players in big trouble with time. Player A makes, from a good position, an enormous blunder and before waiting for opponent to move puts his hand across and says "I give up". In the commotion, player B shakes the hand, saying, "OK, draw". Player A tells he meant to resign, Player B tells A to speak more clearly next time... It was scored as a draw BTW.

Stuff will always happen, I agree.
