In Response To: Daily Quiz 5/15 (Stick)

1) 24/22 9/4 (anchor against the candlesticks on 6pt and 8pt; safety the blot on 9pt as the race is almost even)
2) 7/6 7/5 (pay now, bear two in and, after being hit, hope to leap the 4-prime soon before White remakes her 6pt, which is still a long way to go; alternative would be the stiff 7/5 6/5, but it is very dangerous because White can have time to bring some more checkers around)
3) 13/11 6/4*(2) (weird position, I just try to make my home board and a landing or aim-at-5 point, regardless of how many checkers White has back)
4) 6/5* 6/4* (tough decision but the 6pt screams to be unstacked; an alternative would be 13/11 6/5*, but it's unlikely that the 5pt remains slotted in order to be covered)
5) 10/5 8/5 (WDF of the day: if I can easily make the 5pt, if the opponent already owns her 5pt, if I cannot hit unless on my ace, if I am back in the race, I see no reason not to make my best long-term asset)
