They are only mysterious to you. I didn't want to type them out is all.

whereas misremembering a formula can lead to large errors.

I don't misremember formulas if I'm going to use it. If I was short on time of course I'd look at this and say basic 3 roll v. basic 3 roll and go from there but if I have the time left especially in such an important match and a really important decision within' that match I'd love to have more available to me than wag numbers. Again, esp. with an elo difference between the players.
