I learned backgammon in my late youth, where bots doesn't exist and you could only rely on books. At some time, i changed my life completely, a sort of reset. I stopped playing backgammon for years. I began playing again in the early 90's, discovering the el cariaci matchbook and "new ideas in backgammon". That time i worked only nightshift and for one year i don't played backgammon, but worked through this books. I began to play again and stopped again because of house building, children etc. Last year i had a bicycle accident and spend with holidays a month at home. I discovered FIBS and XG and bgonline and backgammon again. When i remember all the way, asking myself the what for's, it boils down to: I wanna have fun.

If you don't feel confident with something, if you don't have fun anymore, with your work, drinking or even playing backgammon, you have to stop and ask yourself: what for? Sometimes you have to reset. And sometimes you have only to change the frame. Live isn't funny at all all the time. But at some point, it should appear. Like climbing a mountain with a bike and after this, speeding down.

Enjoy.
