1. White has a lot of checkers back and doesn't have the timing for a backgame even if she succeeds in making a second anchor. That's not good news. However, Blue has only four checkers in the zone so I think White has good chances of forming a decent defensive formation and causing Blue trouble while he tries to get his remaining checkers around. Blue on the other hand has a clear advantage with gammons in the air so I think the double is clear. D/T.

2. Keith Count says D/T.

3. Several choices here: 24/16, 24/21 13/8, 13/10 13/8, 8/3 5/3. At DMP I'm inclined to run the back checker with 24/16.

4. I don't want to get into a blot-hitting contest when White holds all the cards. Bar/20 24/20.

5. The race is close so it's tempting to hit to gain pips, but the penalty for getting hit back seems too high. I'll wait with 4/1.
