Chuck,
I used Ward for the initial count (6 pips) minus 1/2 a pip (for the extra man) plus 1 for the ace and 1 for gap on the 6-pt. On white's side I added a pip for the deuce-pt to bring about 45.5 vs. 50.
The Metric Formula
50+(62-PLT)/(PLT+L)*(L) L: Pip Lead (multiply L to 1 decimal place only!)
50+(62-5)/(5+4.5)*(4.5) = 77
Alternatively, why not use your judgment of the Keith Count 45-49 together with the Dual E-Pip/Metric Formula; emphasis here on "E-Pips".
E-Pips: 21% of the pip lead + 0.5 for each extra crossover
Blue leads by 11 pips x 21%, 2.31%-0.5 (for the extra crossover) = 1.81.
Metric Formula:
50+(62-5)/(5+4)*(4), 25.2+1.81 = 77.1
The versatility of the Dual E-Pip/Metric Formula is pretty amazing; it works with EPC, Keith, Lamford, Ward; the full truck load and is very accurate.
Just thought I'd plug it!
