1. White would like nothing more than to make his bar and 4-pts with as little interference from blue as possible. So, anchoring is out of the question as this fortifies white's game plan. This makes the 5 clear, now what about the 1? For money 24/23 does little to complicate white's plan but it does strengthen white's attack options. 6/5 attempts to equalise the position on both fronts and gives white another problem to chew on. 6/5.
2. White has too many good rolls after 13/5(2) with 6's making blue's bar-pt and 11 33 as excellent pointing numbers. 6/2*(2) 13/9(2) is an excellent roll and white should be made to experience the pain to the fullest.
3. I was tempted to play 8/1* but there is simply too much risk. OTOH, the feeble looking 13/8 13/11 runs the risk of paying out to an immediate joker and losing ground in the race. I've still got gammons swirling a round my eye-balls and 8/6 8/3 goes to some length to achieve them.
4. No question about the take here but is it a double? In refernce positions where the defender has a checker on the deuce-pt and an indirect blot it is a D/T. Blue has very little ammo in position but white is on the bar and blue will soon have all the ammo he needs. White may be forced to expose a blot in a roll or two. D/T.
5. I own the cube, I'm 6-0 up, 17/13 clearly.
