1. In on B/20 pt. Slot 6/5. Unstacks my heavy point. Attempt to get an advanced anchor (defence). Opponent has blot on 4 pt and has to cover and may have to strip valuable 8pt. to hit slot.

2. Make 2pt hitting. Two down from mid point. 6/2*(2) 13/9(2). Fan by opponent brings cube action, D+D.

3. Opponent has cube. I want a G to get to Cawford. Best way is bring in max builders 8/6/8/3.

4. Blue beneficiary of a blitz. Not a lot of wood firing on open on vacant inner board points. Win puts white to Crawford. Must dbl and a take. D+T

5. As big match leader I limp this home by playing the running play 17/13, hoping the tough clear from the opponent 16 pt .allows me to catch up. He shakes big dbl I’m out. Blot on opponent 2 pt as a comeback shot is an illusion. Not sure I can take a cube after being hit ATS. I shake a set to catch up and I know I won’t be seeing a cube soon.
