Is doubling even correct after 8/2* 6/2, dance? Four point board, man on the bar, 12 checkers in the zone, opp needing 10 crossovers to save gammon. Seems to me that it's borderline too good and if he takes after dancing I'd be thrilled.

I'd play 8/2* 6/2 regardless - safetying the blots puts blue in a holding game which seems much less favorable than the blitz. Hitting loose with 13/7 6/2* or 11/7 8/2* seems a bit rash given his solid board.
