1. I would play B/21 6/5. If we hit B/24 21/17*, I do not see Blue containing white and extracting three back checkers from behind a 5 out of 6 points prime. B/21 6/5 put the spares where we can jump into the outfield and makes the 5 point, so we are in a good position to capitalize on later hits. White is awkward enough to justify this waiting play.

2. B/21 6/5. We still need to build our position. B/20 may gain some shots on some variations, but without any offensive structure that will not do much good. And hits after B/20 may hurt us.

3. I'd hit because our chances to hit may otherwise be gone. Then 16/13, getting closer to home and adding to the homeboard building forces. If hit back, we may improve our defense.

4. 21/14. Flood the outfield and let white play, rather than hit and risk that white can keep the anchor for a longer time. Not sure about the right way to flood.

5. Roll. Far behind in the pip-count, and a one-sided gammon threat against us. Hit something and re-evaluate.
