- I hope these are somewhat close, because I have a hard time deciding. Many good things to say about the waiting play - builds the board, gets two checkers ready to recirculate, postpones any hits to when the board and/or outfield coverage is better. One bad thing, eschewing a certain hit, when you might not hit again. The nod goes to the wait, with little conviction.

- Looks like Stick played the hit... I start making the board here, I know I will want the 5 point. I may still get to diversify net turn before the shot appears.
- 3. 24/23 16/13
- Again it seems I didn't play Stick's play ... Here I think it is correct to hit, even if Blue isn't really much more ready to contain a checker. But keeping White from remaking the 2pt seems a good way to get more shots later. Also Blue may be running out of chances, a timely double may see many White checkers off or safe, better to mix it up now.
- 4. 12/9 21/17
- Hitting the 3rd checker may make the closeout more difficult, with White's board in shambles, I think Blue can play for forcing White off the anchor and trying to close out 2 men.
- 5. No double/take
- With the anchor, white seems likely to be able to recirculate his extra checkers, and by and by getting them home, and getting to a position that may be a good double/something later. In the meantime, White may get some chances to roll a double that threatens to get his checkers home, or at least to a point where Blue has a last ditch shot. Not quite yet, I think
