Foul balls in baseball

I tend to agree with Bill Riles, but if one wishes to try to develop a stricter definition of what constitutes a fair roll, perhaps it might be illuminating to examine the rather convoluted definition of a foul ball in Major League Baseball.

The next generation of backgammon boards can come equipped with Hawk-Eyes to automatically adjudicate whether the dice followed a legal trajectory.
