These are very tough.
1. Hit now or hit later? Blue is not really ready to contain a hit checker, so that makes me inclined to wait until later. There is a risk of not getting a shot later, of course, but with 4 White checkers on the bar point, I think the chances of a later shot are pretty good. Another worry is crashing with something like 33, but again I don't think that danger is too serious. I'll hit later. Bar/21 6/5.
2. White isn't going to blot this turn so the main point of bar/20 would be to get a triple shot later. The down side may be that if we're hit then we may lose time getting our checkers around to build our forward structure. I guess I play bar/20 but don't really know.
3. Hit now or hit later? We're still not really very well position for containment, but if we let White bear off more checkers then even if we get a later hit it may not be enough. I think we have to hit now. Then do we leave both back blots where they are? It leaves us open to a few extra double-hitting numbers but overall I think it's better to leave both points slotted in case we want to re-make them later. 24/23* 16/13.
4. I hit here and play 21/17 for outfield coverage. I don't think there's much risk to leaving blots around, given the state of White's board.
5. Still looks like too much work to do so I wouldn't double, but I really don't have a good feeling for this kind of position. ND/T.
