Shocked and Horrified that Upstanding Citizens Would Wager

In Response To: Daily Quiz 5/27 - The Bets (Stick)

Stick mentioned six people who engaged in betting or wagering on various positions.

I am shocked and horrified to learn that these six good people would engage in the illegal and immoral activity of gambling. I was always taught that you should work hard from 9 to 5 for your money and not gamble it away.

Engaging in this kind of act and then publicizing it presents our beloved innocent game of backgammon in a bad light.

Please, I beg everyone who cares about our great game: Let's play just for the love and enjoyment of backgammon and not permit betting for money to be a part of it.
