XG2 question: specs on XGR++

I never tested 6-ply (or 7-ply) however by from the progression 3-ply 4-ply and 5-ply i would estimate

  • 6-ply: 7 Elo Stronger than 3-ply, 3045 times slower
  • 7-ply: 8 Elo Stronger than 3-ply, 45000 times slower

    That compares to

  • XGR+: 8.0 Elo Stronger than 3-ply, 46 times slower
  • XGR++: 10.6 Elo Stronger than 3-ply, 410 times slower

    If anyone is interested: the Elo seems to to follow Elo=4.6426*ln(ln(T))-3.8721 Where T is the time spend for analyzing in N-ply, using 10 as base for 3-ply and Elo is the Elo compared to 3-ply (so 0 for 3-ply)
