Playing better vs. a bot

I also seem to play a bit better vs a bot.
Main reason, in my opinion, is that I can afford to think more against the bot. I will sometimes spend minutes on crucial decisions.
Online, lots of people get nervous and start objecting if you think for more than 30 seconds, no matter how hard or important the decision is.

While I don't yet have a solid proof for that - I think I also play better live than online again for the same reason: I can afford to think a lot when needed.
Even with clocks, there is enough time to give those hard positions time they deserve.
