Congratulations Chuck on your well-deserved victory. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. But you realize, of course, that I engineered the whole thing. First of all, I used all my telepathic powers to make sure that you did not buy into the side pool. I then had the foresight to buy you in the Calcutta on a 3 man team with only one buyback. Of course I made sure to lose my first match to you. Do you actually believe that that 2-1 I threw in the bearoff with just one man left on the 4 point and you holding a 4 cube was random? Think again! I then made sure that you would get the bye into the finals forcing me to play an extra round against an easy opponent (Mochy) in order to collect an extra layer of prize money. I continued my Machiavellian mischief by making a sizeable hedge in the finals and threw yet another match to you. After collecting my sidepool money, bonus round money, hedge money, Calcutta money, and Calcutta buyback money, I was actually the real winner of the event even though it doesn't actually show up in the official stats. So while you bask in the glory of your momentous victory, we both know the real truth : - ) It was a pleasure losing to you.
