I have always had a problem with EVERY method of comparing the two players, as I believe we can find difficulties with all of them.

Take, for example a situation where in a single game, I think I am too good to double, so for 5 rolls I don't cube when I should have. I've really only made one error, not 5, but in terms of PR or MWC I am going to get dinged 5 times instead of 1. However, the error of thinking I was too good might not have really cost me anything, as I could have cashed the first time and won two points, and at the end of the game, I ended up winning 2 points anyways.

In the next game, my opponent might make a 4 percent cube error that actually cost him the game and resulted in a 2 point swing! Now, I end up winning the match but show a much worse PR, but in reality, my 5 errors not only did not cost me anything, it could easily be argued that I really only made one error in thinking.

There are many other examples along these lines. There is a lot to be said for looking at W/L record to truly determine who is the better player, especially since we are still not at the point where we can be 100 percent sure that the bot is always right. (Having said that, I am convinced that the bot is close enough to right that we should only be uncertain when the decision is very close.)
