The right way to measure which player played better in a match

Think about this example:
You are playing a match to 11 but without the doubling cube and without gammons or backgammons. So first to win 11 games wins the match.
In the first match to 11 both players played perfectly except in the very first game player A played a bearoff play incorrectly costing him that game. For example with a checker on ace and three point vs two on the ace he didn't bearoff two with a 31 roll. A eventually loses the match 11-10
In the second match to 11 both players again played perfectly except A again made that terrible bearoff play but this time in the final game. A loses the match 11-10.
If you use MWC method you will say that the error in the first match was much less important than the error in the second match but in fact they were equally important.
