I dont think a multiplier is the solution but a delta can be.

When you think about it, that's what outplays do: it measures your error compare to a set level (3-ply) that is strong but not perfect.

In a way this takes into account the complexity of the position: you will never get an outplay in a simple position as 3-ply will not make an error. but on a complex one you get a shot at finding the move that eluded the bot.
