I agree 100%
Consider clocked matches. Would you rather spend your time on difficult checkerplay decisions in the first game with the cube in the middle, or a mid-match decision with the cube on 4?? So in clocked matches in particular, MWC-loss is the best way to evaluate who played (and managed their time) best.

But for many other practical things the EMG is probably a better measure (eg. comparing level of play in different matches, looking at your level of play over many matches/inprovements etc.).
