Sorry, but that is the kind of comment that just drives me crazy.

Sure, whether Li Na had won or lost was good for tennis and, doubtlessly, inspirational for Chinese tennis playing youngsters.

What is best for tennis is that there be no controversy in crowning the champion of one of its major events. I'm not familiar with the specifics of women's tennis rules, nor of the peculiarities of clay courts to those rules; however, for a chair judge to overrule a line judge on a call made on the far side, and far end, of the court without incontrovertible proof is mind-boggling. In the States, in sports where replays and reviews are permitted, the ruling on the field, or on the court, is presumed correct unless there exists indisputable evidence to the contrary.
