It's great that Xavier donated two copies of XG for the tournament. I think it's a good idea in situations like this to have a back up prize if possible for the situation that happened, the player already had the software. In this case he still could have accepted the prize since you need to purchase an activation for every computer you use it on. For instance I run XG on my desktop and my laptop so when XG2 comes out I will have to buy two activation keys or copies.

In the first round robin we permitted Serena to ask for help with one cube and one checker play per match. Surprisingly there was no argument from the other three players. Unfortunately, Serena went 0-3 in the first round robin so in the second session I told her she could ask for help with 2 cubes and 2 checker plays per match

Yes, I'm sure her opponents had no qualms about her asking you for help on checker/cube decisions. Hell, they'd have probably let you be her consulting doubles partner. They may not have had the same reaction if you told them it would be Mochy doing the consulting.
