Hey Rory, the tournament ended May 30, and everyone was (so rightly!) telling you for several days how great it all was and what a wonderful human being you are. Now you know how long it takes for at least some people to get back to normal and start throwing zingers at you as usual--six days, apparently.

That sounds like one more good innovation, to give a bit of extra help the newest newbie in the novice. In addition to this Phone-a-Friend option, why not also let her put one play per match up to an audience vote? Not for the whole room, of course, just an ad-hoc committee of whoever is hanging around doing nothing at that moment.
