The only reason why Federer has a negative record against Nadal is the fact that Federer unfortunately is prone to choking on the big points against Nadal.

It only seems to happen against Nadal.

Seeing Nadal play Federer reminds me of how Tiger has won half of his majors: players have choked way too much, way too often whenever Tiger has made his way up on the leaderboard.
