I'm not sure that it matters, but these positions all say unlimited game with Jacoby Beaver, but they also say 9 point match. Which is it? Unless "Stick 9 Point Match" is the player name. Must be the brother of "Robert'); Drop Table Students;"
1) The automatic play is to point on his head, but that just means his board and runner is going to be around longer. I'd rather see the runner go along his merry way than have him on the bar. I think I'll make the ace point here - this leaves spares on the 4, 5 and 6 so it should minimize the immediate shots and in a few rolls maybe that blot will be out of my hair. 4/1 3/1
2) I'm not seeing enough gammons to justify anything other than simply trying to win. That means bearing off without being hit. 6/2(2) clears the six and leaves me even ended. I think that's more important than bearing off another checker or two.
3) Make the five point. Perhaps it's better to whack the blot or to make the bar point and clean up a blot in the process. But I'm sticking with the 5. 8/5 6/5
4) A slight lead in position, race and threats should make for a cube. But since these leads are slight, White can take. D/T
5) D/T 21, 31,41 51,63, and doubles fail to leave a shot for white. That's a little less than half, and white misses a bit more than half the shots that are presented. Rounding these off, gives about 25% chance for white, assuming that a hit is a win and a miss isn't. In reality, blue may leave a shot next time too, so white's chances are a bit higher. But there are lots of market losers, and the only recubes I see are when Blue gets hit, so ship it.
