1. The take looks pretty clear. White is not that far behind in the race and Blue's position is far from consolidated. The double is less clear but most of Blue's rolls play well so I would double.

2. In the opening, 6/4(2) is almost automatic for most 22 rolls, but here I would anchor with 24/18 because after 6/4(2), we are left with an exposed position and no good final 2.

3. White is not on the bar yet so it's tempting to take but it just seems that White has too little going for her—she has no structure and a serious race deficit. D/P.

4. Blue has three checkers back and White has made her 7pt, so I think this is a take. If White anchors then she's in decent shape, and Blue doesn't have enough ammo up front to keep whacking away. Still, Blue's four-point board is strong, so it looks like a strong double. D/T.

5. Difficult. I think that 20/15(2) is necessary to keep Blue's position from falling apart. Though I'm not sure about hitting loose with 6/1*, I will try it because it gains a tempo (we would like to pick up White's other blot, and not have our blots attacked) and we do have the stronger board. Then 13/8 falls out as the remaining 5.
