1. Giving up outfield control with 11/2 looks hopeless so I think the choice is between 6/1 5/1 and 22/13. Although 22/13 looks risky I think it is our best bet. Ahead in the race, we're running out of time and will probably have to run off the anchor soon anyway. I think it's better to do so now while White has a blot in her board.
2. White sends a second checker to the bar with almost any roll. Blue has no new points made and White has already escaped a back checker. White has ten checkers in the zone and a significant race lead. Blue's only compensation is that White has only two homeboard points made, one of which is the 1pt, and her other checkers in the zone are all stacked inefficiently on the 8pt. I don't think that's enough. D/P.
3. White has three checkers off already, while Blue has an open 2pt and three checkers on the 1pt. Blue has no immediate threat to close the board. This looks like a take to me. I think this is a good practical double though I'm not sure it's a technical double yet.
4. It looks like we have to choose two out of three: 24/21(2), 13/10(2), 8/5(2). I'm always nervous about passing up making the 5pt, but switching from the 8pt to the 5pt seems to be the smallest improvement of the three. Since White already has an advanced anchor, 24/21(2) seems urgent, and then unstacking looks more productive than making the 5pt, since the 8pt is still pretty valuable in this position. 24/21(2) 13/10(2).
5. White isn't on the bar yet and has nearly equal board strength, and Blue still has to clear his 16pt somehow. She is only 11 pips behind. This looks like a clear take. However, Blue's advantage is clear and there are clearly market losers since White has those vulnerable blots. D/T.
