As for a possible San Diego Backgammon Championships, funny you should bring that up. Tom Fahland (the Director of the San Diego Backgammon Club, and long time good friend) and I very briefly tossed the idea around at the USBGF Banquet this weekend.

I suppose this would be a good time to ask BGO-ers for their feedback. I guess the first question would be when would be the best time of year (according to the existing backgammon calandar, the weather, and any other factors you can think of) to hold such an event?
