True, both fade and slice and cut shots. Cuts could be more I guess: You have the short high lops where you play them like a bunker shot opening the blade putting the ball forward in your stance and swing outside in (cutting) without the shot being a fade or a slice really, you just get the distinct right pull on the backspin... But I didn't do the list to be precise, I just threw a bunch of specialty shots in to make a point.
I just wrote what fell into mind. I didn't put pushes, pulls, shanks and "throws" on the list, because I don't consider these shots that anyone would do on purpose nor practice in any degree. OK a throw is not really a shot in itself, more like a fault in the swing (you throw the club if you start your downswing with the arm (elbow) and hands rather than the body, resulting in a weak outside-in swing and too early uncoil of the wrist/underarm angle).
Also granted, some shots come from a combination of a certain swing and a special club (with bounce). You can alter the wedge's bounce if you open or close it which is useful for shots where you dig out a deep egg in the bunker, etc. But I think you got the point :-)

I never mentioned that Tiger invented the wood chip (at least that was not my purpose), it was just when he did it, it got a huge revival. And it was one of the shots that simply came to mind, when I thought about the subject. I personally prefer playing the same shot with a wedge with bounce, as mentioned in my previous post. The point here is, that Tiger actually played a lot of special shots, or shaped shots in actual tournament play compared to the opposition and compared to the "new modern style".
I see the youngsters in my own club, hitting all the balls all the time ,playing a gazillion rounds, coming near scratch hcp. And I really honestly feel that they cannot play really good golf! They just repeat the same shot again and again and again.... I don't know the correct term in English, but it's more like a "flidsprĉmie"* than it is talent IMHO.
* Danish word for the merit you get for "trying" and put in effort rather than for having talent. Show up all the time and you'll get recognized.
