I suppose this would be a good time to ask BGO-ers for their feedback. I guess the first question would be when would be the best time of year (according to the existing backgammon calandar, the weather, and any other factors you can think of) to hold such an event?

The weather is pretty solid all year around in San Diego, so holding it NOT in the summer months gives snow birds a chance to escape.

I'd suggest trying to stay a bit away (time-wise) from the Vietor Cup, even if it's not an ABT event, and of course the various LA events.
