1. The first three 2's are clear: bar/23 24/22* 6/4. For the last 2 I'm not sure, but I'll try 22/20 slotting the best anchor.

2. Opponent has an advanced anchor and we're still on the 24pt, so that suggests splitting. However, White has a stacked position so that is an argument against splitting. Still, since we have the stronger board, White won't be too happy about hitting loose even if we split, so I think we should split. Besides, if we don't split, what's Plan B? We'll have to scatter blots on our side of the board, which is no disaster but not clearly stronger. There are different ways to split but I'll try 24/18 8/5.

3. The choice seems to be between bar/23* 10/4 slotting, and bar/23* 19/13 getting more outfield coverage and avoiding a direct shot. Our situation is desperate enough that slotting seems to gain more when it works than it loses when it doesn't. Bar/23* 10/4.

4. Nine checkers in the zone, White has two checkers on deep points and a third checker on the bar and no development. Blue has split the back checkers but made only one home-board point. White's main problem isn't getting closed out but in getting stuck in a bad deep-anchor holding game. Still, I would take. D/T.

5. Blue's position is slightly worse than a pure four-roll position. What are White's chances of getting off in three rolls? She still needs doublets and not all doublets guarantee getting off in three rolls. Blue could miss but I don't think that's enough compensation. D/P.
