gnubg can show you some closeout info:

Do a rollout without truncation.

Click View Statistics, and scroll down.

You will see the number of closeouts and the average number of moves before these closeouts.

It will calculate closeouts done later in the game, but that is somewhat "explained" in the avg. move info.

It's not the most easy to use feature, since it requires a rollout for each position you look at, but it can be used though at 1296 moves on 0-ply, changing up a position rolling out each time and looking at the effect on the closeout numbers....
