Tom Keith's plot suggest that the crossover between Ward and Keith is somewhere between 30 and 35 pips, so that's what I'd consider to be a "short" race. The Ward count, which the plot says is usually more accurate for short races, says you should take in this position.

Note also that Seret's formula gives White 382.6 pipples and Blue 376.6 pipples (100 pipples being roughly equivalent to a "roll"), so this would be a clear take since a four-roll position is a take. But Seret's formula would be more arithmetic than most of us would be prepared to do OTB.
