I forgot to post a response to this one, and I think your nonstandard subject line may have contributed to my flipping past it as "spam" on my second go-around.

Anyway, I considered candidates 1, 2, and 4 here, as well as bar/23*/21 5/3*(2) and bar/23* 18/16(2) 8/6. Probably I would have played bar/23*/21 18/16(2) OTB. However, I do see the logic of playing 18/16 8/6, since White is on the bar. Also, I figured that the double hit was the QF play, but I don't think I would have played it OTB since I would have considered it too ambitious when I still have four checkers back.
