I think Tomawaky has a good test here. To rule out fibs or connecting to fibs, in windows XP open up a command prompt (Windows/Accessories/Command prompt) and then try to login to fibs using this command:

telnet fibs.com 4321

You will have to supply user name and password. If that works then it likely suggests Fibzilla is a problem.

As well what happens if you right mouse click the Fibzilla client and "run as administrator". Do you still get the error?
