I think I like 13/5. It gives him 13 shots, but leaves us with some return shots if we are hit and even if we fan he has to escape 2 checkers and try to trap us without his 5 or 6 point made. If he rolls a 65 and gets "lucky" to hit us he could easy get gammoned. Leaving him 6's to hit would be much more devastating to our position because then not only would he get to hit but he would escape a checker, at least leaving him aces means he still has plenty of work to do to bring this game home.
